Robin and I are recently back from photographing another amazing destination wedding at the Hard Rock Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I’ve just started working on the images but I can’t resist posting these images from the welcome party. After the rehearsal (if that’s what you want to call it, lol), the wedding party and all the couple’s guests (over 70 which is unusually high for a destination wedding), attended a welcome party hosted by the couple. During this party, the siblings of the bride and groom had the group doubled over in laughter! The grooms sisters started off by letting Chase (the bride) know that it was not actually their brother Brett she had picked on Match.com, but it was them. They were taking credit for writing his entire Match.com profile.
Then, the brothers of the bride shared a video where the two of them re-enacted the couples first interactions chatting on Match.com, all the way to their first meeting (in front of Target?). The group was filled with so much joy and laughter and it was fun to see the couple themselves doubled over enjoying it all. Everyone including myself was laughing so hard along with the couple ,that it was impossible not to just enjoy the moment and forget about anything else.

Yesterday while editing my television ended up on the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun” and I started reminiscing (again) about how much I love photographing Italy. I just thought I’d brighten your day with a pop of color from a few images from Vernazza, Italy.
Can’t wait to go back! By the way……watch for my new international web site coming soon!
I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing this 13 year old beauty last Friday! Marissa is building her pageantry portfolio and she’s sure to be a winner with those fabulous hazel eyes and her sparkling personality!
Last nights “Sheltering Hearts” event at Riverside Art Museum, benefiting Path of Life was a beautiful and memorable event. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds to help rescue, restore and rebuild the lives of homeless individuals and families.
Christi MacNee and her team organized the event for the second year in a row and did an amazing job. Focal Instincts Photography is truly honored to be a part of this special project for the second year.
Today at Los Coyotes Golf Course overlooking the 9th hole, Focal Instincts Photography teamed up with Diane Bartoo Photography to capture a beautiful wedding ceremony. The event was elegant and intimate. It was an honor to be a part of this event.
At last night’s Professional Photographers of Orange County (PPOC), California image competition, Focal Instincts Photography’s image “Young Love” won a merit award and then moved on to win best in category for wedding photography. Thank you again to Nikki and Paul for helping me create this and so many other fabulous images.!
