At last night’s Professional Photographers of Orange County (PPOC), California image competition, Focal Instincts Photography’s image “Young Love” won a merit award and then moved on to win best in category for wedding photography. Thank you again to Nikki and Paul for helping me create this and so many other fabulous images.!

Congratulations to Amanda and George Casiano!
It was such a joy for Focal Instincts Photography to be a part of your amazing day in Seal Beach, California on July 27, 2013. George and Amanda looked amazing on their special day. Amanda with her classic hollywood glamour style and George looking especially handsome for his bride. The location was perfect and the weather cooperated perfectly! The Rivers End Cafe is just a short walk from the pier where Amanda has so many memories including her proposal from George. The perfect backdrop for the perfect romance.
Professional Photographers of America (PPA)’s International Print Competition is the largest and most prestigious competition. After competing locally and moving your images up through district it’s time to play big! I have learned today that 3 out of 4 of my images submitted into the 2013 International Print Competition have won merit awards! Two of the images are boudoir portraits and the other one is for my wedding photography! Here are the three winning images!!
Thank you Tina, Gabbie and Katherine for allowing me to use your images for competition purposes!
A special thank you to Gabbie! Your image has also earned me the title of 2013 Western District Wedding Photojournalist Photographer of the year!
Ok, now back to work on the next District competition!!
